Frankfurt

• Frankfurt is one of the financial centers for Euope. There are many tall bank buildings.

• Frankfurt Opera House.

  3. It was a pleasure to talk about music during the intermission with young music lovers.

• Old Opera House. This building was totally destroyed during the World War II (1939-45). It was rebuilt after the war.

• Frankfurt was the power-base for Karl de Grosse, known to us a Charlemagne. I had a photo with his statue. I was with my wife.

• Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was another distinguished person from Frankfurt.

  2. This is the sreet leading to the Goethe Haus.
  3. This is Goethe's house. This house is now a museum.
  4. With Goethe's bust in the house. I was happy to have my photo taken there.

  5. Goethe enjoyed affluent life with expensice furniture like this.
  6. Goethe had to read many books before writing his stories.
  7. I did not know Goethe was an art lover. He collected many paintings.

• In spite of the modern civilization, Frankfurt was developed as a farming center, and the city is proud of this tradition.
