Dresden

We like to think Germany consists of Soldiers and Engineers. We also know Germany produced many music composers, like Ludwig van Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach and many others.

It is gratifying to find there are also many art-loving people in Germany. Until Otto von Bismarck unified his country in late 19th Century, Germany was not a unified country. It consisted of many small kingdoms with different cultural traditions. Even these days, Berlin is a city of universities and science research places, while Munich is beer-drinking city of fun-loving people.

Let us go to Dresden.

There are many other interesting photos. I will post them when I have time. Please come again. There are also many interesting photos from the wikipedia page.

I went to Princeton in 1958 after my undergraduate education at the Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh, in order to talk with Albert Einstein. It was three years after Einstein died there in 1955.
