Mother proud of her son.
I know Russians like "Snickers" candies, and I bring bags of party-sized (2cm-by-2cm) Snickers chocolates whenever I attend conferences in Russia. In June/July of 2001, there was a physics conference held at a camp called "Volga" bout 30 km south from Kazan.
During the conference banquet, the local organizers distributed
the candies I brought with me. Those Snickers came from the
"heaven" to a Russian boy at candy-loving age. He was four
years old. He went to the microphone and made an eloquent
speech thanking "Professor Kim" for bringing those heavenly
items. After the speech, I went to him to take a photo.
He was afraid of me, but his mother was mighty proud. See
the following photo.
