In 1988, I organized a conference

in commemoration of 50th Anniversay of Wigner's 1939 paper (completed in 1937 and published in 1939). I invited the Hungarian Ambassador to the United States. His name was Wenzel Hazi.

The Ambassador came with him the certificate of Wigner's membership of the Academy of Science of the People's Republic of Hungary.

Wigner was moved and gave a speach thanking his motherland. He specically mentioned the high school education he received in Budapest. Here is a photo collection of his Budapest high school.
