Since I published seven papers with him, I am widely regarded as Wigner's youngest student. We did not tell anyone, but it was our 50th wedding anniversary dinner. Wigner was born in Hungary.
  3. Statue of Ahn Eaktae is in Budapest. He is the composer of the Korean National Anthem. He studied in Hungary, and Zoltan Kodaly was his teacher.

• Broken bridge at the Yalu River with her husband. Japanese imperialists built two spans of this braige as a gateway toward Munchuria before 1940. Both spans were broken during the Korean War (1960-53).
  1. One of the spans was reconstructed after the war, and it plays as the major trade route beteen China and North Korea, but the other span remains broken.

  6. Conference Room at the Duksoo Palace. In 1946 and 1947, Americans and Soviets met here to talk about how to set up a government for Korea covering the entire Peninsula. The negotiation did not get anywhere, and Koreans had to set up two separate governments. a pro-American government south of the 38th Parallel and a communist puppet government supported by Stalin's Soviet Union.

2019

• In Minsk, Belarus, with husband. In the background is a huge Stalin-style building. This building was constructed in 2004, many years after Stalin's death in 1953 and after the collapse of the Soviet Union. It is interesting his style still persists.

• The Spanish city of Cordoba was originally built by Romans. The Roman remains still are there. Then it became a major Islamic city when Islamic Arabs came to this area during the 8-the and 9-th Centuries.
  1. Cordoba's Mosque-Cathedral is the most prominent place in the city. This huge building was constructed by Islamic Arabs during the 11th Century, but it became a Cathedral church after the Catholics pushed out Arabs from Spain.
  2. Islamic-style outside walls were covered by Christian decorations.
  3. Cordoba's Main Gate. Cordoba was built by Islamic Arabs as a walled city, with a river as a natural boundary on one side. This main gate faces this river, and There is a bridge extending to the other side of the river from this gate.
  4. This bridge is called the Roman Bridge, presumably built by Romans. If so, this bridge was rebuilt several times since then. Here is

• Seville is another Spanish city built by the Islamic people. This city became very strong after Columbus discovered a new continent and started importing tobacco leaves.

  3. It appears that those creative Arabs built the city as a botanic garden.
  4. The trees could provide shades for air-conditioning during the hot summer days.

• In Seville, the Plaza de Espana was constructed in 1921. This plaza shows the influences Spain received during the history.

• Class reunion at a bus stop in Madrid. Three (she, husband, the gentleman wearing hat) of the four people were in the same class during the first semester (starting in April) of the Engineering College of Seoul National University in 1954.

• New York City is an exciting place to visit during the Christmas season.
  1. The Saks Fifth Avenue Store seen from the Rockefeller Center. The store looks like this during the evening hours. It looked like this in one of the earlier years.
  2. The skating pond is an exciting place at the Center. During the summer, this area is a great eating place with many dining tables. Expensive? Yes!
  3. One of the Christmas structures at the Rockefeller Center.

  4. The Dolce Cabbana is one of the luxury stores on the 5th Avenue.
  5. The Louis Vuiton Store is at the north-east corner of 5th Avenue and 57th Street. The building has a Christmas decoration like this.
  6. The Tiffany Store is at the south-east corner. The Trump Tower is next to the Tiffany Store on Fifth Avenue.
  7. Some people like Trump, and Some others do not. This is not the issue here. The Trump Tower offers a nice resting place to visitors to this busy area. There are many Christmas trees in this building during the season.

• There is a small park area at the south-west corner of the 5th Avenue and 59th Street. The Plaza Hotel is west of this area along the 59th Street. There are pretty decorations in this area during the Christmas season.
  1. You can always meet interesting people at the lobby of the New York Hilton. She met a group of young musicians.
  2. She goes to the Metropolitan Museum often. This is a photo with husband at the main lobby of the Museum.
  3. The Jacqueline Kennedy Reservoir is just north of the Museum along the 5th Ave. The most prominent object seen from this reservoir is the Eldorado Apartment Building on the west side of the Cntral Park.
