  1. In 1937, the electron orbit is replaced by a standing wave.

  2. In 1964, it is replaced by a charged bound state called a hadron. The proton is a charged hadron. It is a bound state of three quarks.

  3. This charged particle can be accelerated, and the proton speed can become very close to that of light.

  4. In 1969, Feynman observed the peculiarities in this fast-moving proton. This is called Feynman's parton picture.

The issue is whether the quark model and parton model are two different manifestation of one Lorentz-covariant entity.
